  • On-site
    • Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands

Internship with impact: ship real EdTech code, not intern projects. Get 1-on-1 mentorship from senior devs and make a genuine difference!

Job description

We are Drieam, a passionate 60+ person Dutch EdTech company. We build solutions that guide higher and continuing education institutions to empower learners and propel employability.

We believe that by using technology the right way, we can make a difference in one of the biggest challenges our society faces. Our solutions give millions of students control of their lifelong learning and help institutions train future-proof professionals.

One thing is certain: at Drieam, you will have a real impact on society - even as an intern.

Our culture: growth, freedom & impact!

We are looking for people who strive for a better version of themselves every day. We truly believe that freedom and personal development will enable you to perform at your best. When our colleagues grow, we grow as a company.

  • We invest in you: your career aspirations drive us forward. We commit to providing you with the tools and mentorship you need to flourish and do what you love most.

  • We get things done: we value a committed, passionate attitude. Our informal and pragmatic style means we work together effectively to make a real impact.

Your role:

This isn't a typical internship. We give smart, creative, and passionate people opportunities to build products that matter. From day one, you will:

  • Join a core development team. Together, we will define a concrete assignment based on your knowledge and interests (e.g., working on a significant improvement of one of our LTI apps for Canvas or developing a completely new app from scratch).

  • Deliver production-level code. We believe you learn the most from the real deal, not a separate intern project.

  • Receive expert mentorship. Our experienced developers will provide extensive feedback on your pull requests to take your coding skills to the next level.

  • Be a full-fledged team member. You'll participate in all sprint meetings (SCRUM), where you are challenged to actively think about and contribute to product improvements.

Job requirements

  • You are a BSc/MSc student in the Eindhoven region, seeking for a graduation internship.

  • You are enthusiastic, ambitious and a true go-getter.

  • You have a strong interest in modern software languages and frameworks.

  • You are driven to make significant leaps in your development skills.

What we offer

  • Active coaching: you'll be mentored directly by seasoned developers.

  • Real-world skills: master high-quality engineering through pair programming, extensive code reviews and architecture discussions.

  • Professional growth: access to courses, workshops and meet-ups.

  • Culture of impact: you get real responsibility and an equal voice in team decisions. We are an informal, ambitious and international team.

  • Modern tech stack:

    • Code: Ruby on Rails (backend), React (frontend), Vite

    • Process: CI/CD with GitHub Actions & TDD (RSpec, Playwright, Vitest)

  • The perks: internship allowance, awesome team events and a free, delicious lunch every single day.
