Job description

Are you ready to take on the challenge of creating outstanding learning environments, from start to finish, in Canvas? Do you have a strong interest in education, an eye for detail and some serious technical skills? Then this might just be the ideal part-time job for you! And, as icing on the cake, there might be a possibility for a fulltime job after your studies.

Your colleague about working at Drieam

“In the Customer Experience (CX) team, you will work on products destined for widespread use among students in an incredibly fun and challenging way. The combination of finding unique solutions for each customer, working in a company with lots of innovation, where you can really make a difference, makes Drieam a perfect place to work!”

Sören de Kok, UX Designer

A typical day at Drieam

09.00 Weekly stand-up with the CX team.

10.00 Customer success. The customer success manager wants to discuss the design wishes for an important customer for the upcoming academic year.

11.00 Working session with fellow UX design colleagues. During this session with your UX design colleagues you will show the designs you created for some components, gathering feedback and input from each other.

12.30 Lunch with the team

13.00 Walk through the park. With someone from the sales team, whom you got to know better during one of our famous Thursday afternoon drinks.

13.30 Development. Based on the feedback from this morning, you start implementing the changes to the components in HTML and CSS.

16.00 A customer has a question about a template. By taking an advisory role, you help our customer get back on track as best you can. Can't figure it out? Your CX team colleagues would be happy to help you out!

16.30 You track your progress and update your colleagues. Because multiple projects are regularly mixed together, you know it is important to be good at keeping track of activities and communicating this back to your fellow team members.

And tomorrow?
Maybe this is a day at the university for you, but the next day you’ll pick up further where you left, on collaborating within the CX team. As a UX designer you know it is important to keep showing initiative and get to the core of why decisions are made, in order to come up with improvements and, hence, better products. Meaning you feel the urge to keep yourself updated with all what’s new in Canvas, to capitalize on new features and ensure the smoothest possible experience for our customers.

Did you know that Drieam...

… has grown from a small startup to an organization with a highly driven team of about sixty professionals in the last ten years?

… has an exceptionally low staff turnover?

… interns almost always want to keep working for us?

That is no surprise, because at Drieam:

  • It is all about you! Tell us what you like, show us what you're good at and what your ambitions are. We will do what we can to take your work pleasure to the next level.

  • You are part of a self-directed team. At the same time, you can depend on clear frameworks and the right coaching and inspiration.

  • You can be who you are. Our team is made up of many different nationalities and authentic personalities. Can you imagine how inspirational that is?

  • Your personal development is key. Whatever your learning goals or ambitions are, we will help you realize them, for example, via training and education.

Other perks

  • Twenty-five vacation days for a forty-hour work week.

  • Time off whenever you want. If you don't care about Christmas, you can come into the office and take a day off when it suits you better.

  • Plenty of flexibility: you are free to choose when to work from home or at the office and how to plan your activities. If you want to leave earlier to pick up your kids from school or take your puppy for a walk, that's fine!

  • A MacBook and other facilities you need to do your job effectively in the office and at home.

  • A one-year contract to start with the intention of ultimately turning that into an indefinite contract.

  • You get daily healthy lunches and fresh fruit and snacks.

  • An attractive pension scheme for which Drieam bears all the costs.

  • An inspirational workplace at walking distance from Eindhoven's city center.

Last but not least: weekly team drinks – although it's fine if you're not up for that – and several outings per year with the entire Drieam team.
